Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2016 Honda Pilot- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Honda Pilot we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Jet Stream Roof Rack System consisting of part numbers Y00426. These are the jet stream crossbars, 60" long and these also come in silver. These are going to be connected to the Baseline Tower System here and that's going to be part number Y00146. To connect it to the vehicle we had the Base Clip Fit Kit, part number Y06152, and that's going to be the same for the rear bars as well.This is a great roof rack system that can carry a wide variety of accessories such as bike racks, cargo baskets or cargo boxes. The bars have a nice aerodynamic shape to them and that couple with the rubber strip up at the top as well as the one you'll reinstall on the bottom will help cut down that wind noise and drag while you drive, eliminating the need for any fairings, like you would need with round bars.Removing our end cap here it can use t-track accessories with this system and instead of having to remove the strip like you would with other roof rack systems with this, you simply push down the strip in the center here and slide t-track accessories in place and then tighten them down.Moving to the towers, they do have these plastic knock-out's here that you can take out and replace with the Yakima SKS lock courses to which install separately, so you can secure this to your vehicle, and also make it key to like with the accessories that you are hauling.How it attaches to the roof. We have this clamp here with the Fit Kit, as well as this base pad, and both of these do have the padding as well as the clamp here to help protect the vehicle once it's being installed from any scratches or abrasions.So let's go ahead and show you how the rear bar gets put into place. more

Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2017 Honda CR-V- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Honda CR-V, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima JetStream roof rack system. This is going to be consisting of part numbers Y00425, these are the JetStream crossbars. Part number Y00148, these are the SkyLine Towers, and they kind of snap into place with our landing pads. And the landing pads are going to be part number Y00245. This is specifically for the Honda CR-V.It attaches to two pre-attachment points on the actual flush mounted side rails of your CR-V, and these bars are designed to work with a wide variety of accessories. This helps you put anything you don't want inside the vehicle, outside, or just to free up a little bit more space if you need to. more

Inno Roof Rack Review - 2015 Honda Accord- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Honda Accord, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers INXB130-2. These are the Inno aero crossbars, 51 inches long. And then to hold them in place we have the Inno Through Feet, part number INXS250. And then to attach it to our vehicle, we have the fit kit here and that's going to be part number, INK592. Now this roof rack system is great for carrying a wider variety of accessories such as bike racks, cargo baskets, and cargo boxes. And unlike the flush mount system, you actually have a little more space to fit more accessories on top and if you wanted to, we do offer another style of this where the bars come out past the actual feet here to provide even more space.These are aero shaped bars that will cut down wind noise and drag while you drive. more

Inno Roof Rack Review - 2015 Honda Accord INK592- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Honda Accord, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers INXB115-2, these are the Inno Aero Crossbars, 45 inches long. We'll also be using the Inno Flush Feet System to hold those bars in place. That's going to be part number INXS200, and finally we have the Inno Fit Kit to attach it to our actual Accord here. That's going to be part number INK592.This is a great roof rack system that can carry a wide variety of accessories ranging from bike racks to cargo baskets, to cargo boxes. The shape of the bars themselves is aerodynamically shaped, so that's going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive, eliminate the need for any fairings that you might need for say square bars. Moving onto our end caps, they do come with a lock already installed, so once you have everything on your roof, it's going to be secured to it, and removing our end cap here, you can see that we have this rubber strip up at the top here. more

These are the Baseline Towers designed for naked roofs.Finally, to attach it to the vehicle, we're using the Base Clip Fit Kit part number Y06152.This is going to be the same for the rear bars as well. These are great sturdy cross bars for your roof, and car carry a wide variety of accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers, excuse me, cargo baskets, and cargo boxes.While, they are exceptionally sturdy, they do cause noise while you drive. Now, you can purchase fairings that you can find on etrailer.com to help cut down that wind noise and drag, or you can upgrade to the Yakima core bars that also utilize this tower system.Moving onto the towers themselves, at the end caps here, we do have these plastic portions that can be removed and replaced with the Yakima SKS Lock Core System, so you can secure it to your vehicle and make it key to like with the accessories that you're hauling.Removing our end cap here you can see how everything attaches to the vehicle itself. We have the clamp that attaches to the door frame, as well as the pad underneath. So, your vehicle isn't going to get damaged or scratched once this is installed, because the clamp is also padded once it's being installed.So, let's go ahead and show you how the rear bar gets put into place. more

Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Vortex Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2015 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2015 Honda CRV, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack RS 2500 series roof rack system part number RRRS409B. They're also available in silver, part number RRRS409. The Rhino-Rack RS roof system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle they can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, and closed cargo boxes, ski and snowboard carriers as well as kayak carriers. The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 155 pounds although you should always double check with your vehicles manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. It does have the Vortex aero strips on the top and that coupled with the shape of the bar itself does cut down wind noise and drag while your driving. It also makes it capable of being used with T track accessories. Now since these are flush as you can see here, you're not going to be able to extend out further. more

Rhino-Rack Euro Square Roof Rack Installation - 2015 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2015 Honda CRV, we're going to be test-fitting our Rhino-Rack 2500 Series square-bar roof rack system, part number DS1375B. These are the square crossbars, 54" long and part number DK284 and this is the custom fit kit for the CRV. The Rhino-Rack square-bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. You can carry bike racks, cargo baskets and closed cargo boxes, ski and snowboard carriers as well as kayak carriers. The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 165 lbs, although you always want to double-check with your vehicles manual to make sure it can withstand those weights. While these are square bars there are fairings offered on etrailer.com, which you can purchase separately and that will cut down the wind-noise sound and the drag while you're driving. All the legs on our roof rack system do lock, so once you install this onto your roof, it's secure to your roof as well. Rhino-Rack RSP Roof Rack Installation - 2016 Honda CR-V- Video
Today in our 2016 Honda CR-V we're gonna be test fitting the Rhino Rack RSP Roof Rack System for Flush Factory Side Rails, part number RSP33. The Rhino Rack RSP Roof Rack is great for carrying accessories on your roof and freeing up space in your vehicle for you and your family. It can carry a wide variety of objects, from bike racks to roof baskets to roof boxes to ski and snowboard carriers, as well as water sport carriers such as kayaks and canoes. The bars themselves have a nice sleek look to them, and since they install directly into your flush rails, they actually look like they're factory installed. Rubber vortex strips combine with the aerodynamic shape of the bars will cut down on wind noise and drag while you're driving. Since it has these strips in the center here, you can actually remove these and use T-Track accessories with this roof rack. Today on our 2017 Honda Accord we'll be taking a look at the and showing how to install the Rhino-Rack. This is going to consist of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbars, part number RRVA137B-2; the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series legs for the Vortex Aero bars, part number RRRLKVA; and the Custom DK Fit Kit for the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series legs, part number DK359. The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero roof rack kit is a great solution for carrying your roof rack accessories as well as gear on your Honda Accord. This roof rack is a lightweight aluminum with an aerodynamic design, so it's going to help to reduce wind noise and drag. This design allows you to use channel-mounted as well as clamp-on accessories on your vehicle's roof, such as bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, water sport carriers, and ski and snowboard carriers. With our end cap removed, you can see that our weather strip is easy to remove and replace. Today on our 2016 Honda Fit, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System. We're going to be using part numbers RRVA118B-2 for the Aluminum 46" Long Black Crossbars and part number RRRLKVA for the 2500 Series Leg Kit, and finally part number DK438 for the Fit Kit specifically for our Honda Fit. This Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System is going to allow you to carry your roof-mounted accessories, such as your bike racks, kayak carriers, ski carriers, cargo boxes and baskets. It has an aerodynamic design that's going to help cut down on wind noise when you're on the road, and it's also going to add a sleek look to your Honda Fit. All four of the 2500 Series legs feature padding, so you don't have to worry about it harming and scratching the roof of your vehicle. The hooks here are also padded, so that when it grips the inside of the top you don't have to worry about it harming it. The crossbars themselves are made out of an aluminum construction, and they're lightweight, so they're going to allow you to maximize your roof's weight capacity, though you'll want to be sure to check your vehicle's owner's manual to see how much it can carry. Today on our 2010 Honda Odyssey we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Roof Rack System consisting of part numbers RRVA118B-2. Those are the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Cross Bars, and part number RRSX001, and those are the SX series legs for the Vortex Aero Cross Bars. Particularly for raised factory side rails. We have the front one installed, as you can see the cross bar itself has a nice aerodynamic shape to it and that's going to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. Combined weight with the other bar is going to be 165 pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicle to make sure it can withstand that weight on the top. It's a very easy install, these simply just clamp around your factory raised side rails, tighten into place, and you put the end caps on. more

Inno Roof Rack Review - 2014 Honda CR-V INXB108-2- Video
Today on our 2014 Honda CRV, we are doing a test fit of the Inno Aero Crossbars. The part number for the crossbars we are using is INXV108-2 for the Foot Pack we have here it is INSX200 and for the Fit Kit for our CRV the part number is INK413. We already have our front bar on, we are going to show you how we put the last Foot Pack together and then how we mount the Crossbar. The first thing we will do is take the Foot Pack and we have alredy got our plate in place, so we are just going to slip that on, and then adjust it until it pops down into place. I have already tightened down side, we are first going to measure our that spread, before we tighten down that bolt in there. We want 35 7/8 inches between the two, so we are just a little off. We are just going to keep adjusting until it is in the right spot. Then we can take our included Allen Key, and again with this bolt here, we will just tighten that down, so the Foot Pack is here and it stays in place. Now we will take our rubber bottom and we are just going to fit that on the bottom of the Foot Pack and we will take our clamp and do our bolt here on the end. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2003 Honda Pilot- Video
Today on our 2003 Honda Pilot, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Edge Roof Rack System. As you can see, we've already got one in place, so you can see what it will look like once it's on top of the vehicle. We're going to show you how to place that second bar in there, and how to get your crossbar spread and everything else. This will be part number th7503-th7503. What you're going to have in your kit is going to be your straps, your tool, as well as the bar with the feed on each side. Now it's very simple to do this. All we're going to do is remove the end caps, so you'll just lift up on the end and pull those off. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2011 Honda Fit- Video
Today on our 2011 Honda Fit, we are going to be test fitting the Thule rapid traverse refract system, part numbers THARB47 for AeroBlade, TH480R for our foot pack and TH1465 for the fit kit. Now I'm going to go ahead and show you how to assemble one of the fit kits with the foot pack. We did go ahead and do it on the other side here just so you have that for your perspective. Go ahead and remove the in cap. We'll then take and we'll apply the pad of the fit kit to the foot pack. As you can see it has the same shape as this bracket here so we are just going to go ahead and press it on so that the perimeter secures to outside of the bracket. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2011 Honda Fit THLB50- Video
Today on our 2011 Honda Fit, we're going to be test fitting the Truly Traverse Roof Rack system, part number THLB50, for the load bar, Th480 for the foot pack, and THKIT1465 for the fit kit. We'll begin by assembling one of the foot packs and fit kits. I went ahead and done the other side of the front load bar and we've actually went ahead and installed the rear load bar on the vehicle. Just to save you a little bit of time. We'll begin by pressing the pad onto the bracket on the bottom of the foot pack. As you can see, they are the same shape, so it's easy to know which way it goes on. You essentially just want to press the perimeter, so it's secures around the edge of that bracket. With that on, we'll open the flap here. more

Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2009 Honda Civic- Video
Today on our 2009 Honda Civic we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Q Towers roof rack system. We're using the 58" round bars, part number Y00409; the Q Towers foot pack, part number Y00124; and two Fit Kits, part numbers Y00699 and Y00731. Now I've already pre-assembled three of our foot packs but I want to show you how the fourth one's going to go together. You open the end of your Q Towers pack and you're going to see this gold plate inside. We'll take our Fit Kit clip and we're going to slide that in underneath, being sure that it slides into the slots located on both sides. Then we'll take our tumbler, slide up through. Now it's only going to go in there one way. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2008 Honda Accord- Video
Today on our 2008 Honda Accord we're going to be test fitting the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system, part number THARB53 for our aero blade, part number TH480R for our foot pack, and part number THKIT1560 for our fit kit. We'll begin our test fit by assembling our fit kit to our foot pack. To do so we'll take the pad and insert it onto the bracket here. As you can see, they are the same shape so you'll just want to press the perimeter of that pad onto the bracket. With that pressed on we're ready to put our clamp on there. We'll pull down here, line this up. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2011 Honda Fit- Video
Today on our 2011 Honda Fit we're going to do a test fit on the Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Series Vortex Aero Crossbars. These are in black. They're custom fit designed for use on naked roofs. The part number on it is RRRS254B. As you can see we've already installed our front bar. We've installed it from the center line of our doors forward to the center of the bar, 27 centimeters, or 270 millimeters. We did that measurement on both sides to help insure that we have our feet in line with each other. I've got one of the foot backs on our rear bar already assembled. more

Today on our 2008 Honda Fit, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system. We're using the 53 inch Aeroblades, they're part number THARB53. The Rapid Traverse Foot Packs which are part number TH480R and the Thule Fit kit, part number THKIT1465. Now we're going to be installing this onto our Fit. We've got three of the fit packs assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions but I wanted to go ahead and assemble the fourth for you so you can see exactly how that goes. We'll start with the foot pack, we've got a thinner and a thicker one in this kit. The thicker one goes on the front bar. more

Thule Podium Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2012 Honda CR-V, we'll be test fitting the Thule Square Load Bar Roof Rack System using the 58 inch bars, part number THLB58 the Thule Podium Roof Mounted Foot Pack for Square Load Bars, part number TH460 and the Thule Roof Rack Fit Kit for the Podium Style Foot Pack, part number THKIT3118. To begin our test fit, we need to remove the covers on our flush mounted side rails. Now we'll remove the covers that cover up our bolt holes. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, we'll go ahead and place our first bar directly onto the front part of our roof. We want to make sure that the feet of our front bar line up nicely with the appropriate holes. Once we have it in place and once the overhang of our bars are even, we can then tighten down our foot pack to our bar, so they don't slide around. Once we have our foot packs tight, we can then grab our bolts and our Allen key and mount our feet to our flush mounted side rails. With both bolts tight on their side, we'll move to the driver side and repeat the same process. more

Thule Podium Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Honda CR-V TH460- Video
Today on our 2012 Honda CR-V we'll be test fitting the Thule Square Load Bar System on to our flush-mounted side rails. We'll be using thlb50 for our 50 inch square load bars, part number th460 for our Thule Podium Roof Mounted Foot Pack for our square load bars, and part number thkit3118 for the Thule Roof Rack Fit Kit for podium-style foot packs. We've already assembled our roof rack system according to the instructions. To begin our test fit we'll need to remove the covers for our flush mounts. There should be 3 tabs for each mount, one on top of the flush mount, and then two round tabs covering our bolt holes. Once we have all of our covers removed, we can then place the front half of our carrier onto our front mount. more

SportRack Frontier Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Honda Civic- Video
Today on this 2011 Honda Civic, we'll be test fitting a Sportrack frontier roof rack. We've already crossbars assemblies put together and set to the proper measurements. So now we're ready to go ahead and mount them up on the roof. We'll take our front crossbar assembly and lay it up on top of the roof. To position the crossbar assembly properly on the front, we need to measure 10 inches from the seam where the two doors meet to the center of the front bar. The feet on this Sportrack can swivel, so make sure that they are sitting as flat as possible on top of the roof of your vehicle. more
